Stainless Steel 304L Sheets and Plates are composed of iron, chromium (18–20%), and nickel (8–10.5%), with low carbon content (≤0.03%) to prevent carbide precipitation and enhance weldability. Small amounts of manganese and silicon are also present to improve strength and toughness. The material offers a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength near 205 MPa, and elongation around 40%. SS 304L combines excellent corrosion resistance, ductility, and formability, making it suitable for welded structures and fabricated components that require long-term durability in chemical, marine, and industrial environments.
