Stainless Steel 316H is a high-carbon variant of 316, offering enhanced strength at elevated temperatures. Its composition includes iron, chromium (16-18%), nickel (10-14%), molybdenum (2-3%), and a higher carbon content (0.04-0.10%). The material provides excellent corrosion resistance, particularly against chlorides, and is highly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion. It also exhibits good weldability and formability, making it suitable for high-temperature applications in chemical, petrochemical, and marine environments.
