The main stainless steel 301 sheets and plates are composed of iron, chromium (16-18%), nickel (6-8%), small amounts of carbon, manganese and silicon These materials provide excellent strength, formability and corrosion resistance. Mechanical properties include tensile strength of 750-1050 MPa, yield strength of 275-700 MPa and elongation of 40-60%. The high work-hardening rate of the alloy makes it ideal for applications requiring high strength and durability.
